1951 Oldsmobile Dealer Display Hood

1951 Oldsmobile dealer display hood. These were used from 1949-1951 to show off the new Rocket V8 engine. The hood would be placed on a car in the showroom so that people could check out the engine without opening the hood. The hood would be removed when the car was sold, and the original hood would he put back on. Most of these hoods were no doubt thrown in the scrap after a few years. This hood is not very good, but the all important window moldings are good, and can be placed in another hood. The black hoods are shown as examples only.
